Intercropping for Grain Production cover

Intercropping is a term used to describe growing multiple crops together in the same field at the same time. Chickpeas, field peas and other pulse crops can be grown with small grains or oil-seed crops (canola, mustard, flax etc.) in this manner. Intercropping can potentially reduce disease incidence or severity, spread weather risk among multiple crops, increase crop competitiveness (biological weed control), reduce fertilizer needs, and increase harvestability.
